Dr Chastant is one of the pioneers of early treatment in south Louisiana. Although early treatment is still occasionally necessary, His vast experience in facial growth has guided him to eliminate 2 phases of treatment on many children. In our office, early treatment is only indicated for severe problems that may require extractions or even surgery when the patient gets older.
We can eliminate tooth removal in well over 90% of his patients. Occasionally, non-extraction treatment may require early intervention.
Dr Chastant has developed special treatment plans that shorten treatment time by as much as 2 years while achieving the same results when starting early. In his practice, many patients no longer have to go through unnecessary early treatment. We can now combine phase I and Phase II treatments into what we call “Comprehensive Treatment”. Patients that qualify for this unique treatment will start at just the right time for them and shorten the whole process. This not only makes treatment more convenient, but comparatively less expensive.
A screening is advised by age seven. Remember, we usually recommend waiting to start. By coming in early we will give you piece of mind that you caught any unusual problems and corrected them at the right time.
